Super Mario 64 already saw its revival alongside the launch of the original DS, and Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64 are among the remaining elite first-party games for the console. If you have played the old game you will notice the voices are a little different but they've done their best to replicate them. ![]() You also do have the option to use the gyroscope in the 3DS to help you fly your arwing - I preferred not to use it.įair enough - it's good you've got the choice. They have captured exactly how the old game played and the addition of the 3D is great. I was afraid that porting to the 3DS would ruin it but they haven't at all have they? once you get to know the levels and where the enemies will appear you become really determined to take them out in the most effective way. Each level also has a medal you can get for shooting a certain number of enemies. You WILL want to replay time and time again to make sure you've tried out all the different routes. Your initial goal is to get as far as Venom and defeat Andross. You can manoeuvre your arwing across the screen and speed it up or slow it down but you'll always be forced to move forward.Īnd then there's all range mode where the action is in 3D and you can fly anywhere performing U-turns and somersaults whilst trying to bring down the boss whilst trying to stay alive yourself.
